Director Bio:

Jason Jury

Jason Jury's sensitivity and humor bring a unique depth of awareness to his work as a filmmaker.

Jury was born in Dodge City, Kansas. Raised on a farm near Ingalls, Kansas, his observations of the human condition led him into writing. Jury attended Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas where he studied music, theology, and literature, and worked as Chief Editor of the college's student publication, The Tabor View. Completing two years of study at Tabor, Jury realized his interest in filmmaking and transferred to the University of Oklahoma. He was accepted into the College of Fine Art's filmmaking program. In addition to making films and writing while at Oklahoma, Jury also served as President of the OU Filmmaker's Society.

Successfully completing three years at OU, Jury was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts: Film and Video Production. Upon graduation he spent time working a variety of jobs until being hired as a Producer/Director at KBSD-TV, the CBS affiliate in Dodge City. After working only seven months in commercial and news production, Jury was honored with six awards from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters, including Station of the Year, Best Commercial Series, and Best Newscast.

Jason directed the short CINDER, starring Julia Ling, September, 2006, and has begun early pre-production as the director for the feature BLOOD LOSS. Jury lives in Los Angeles and frequently works on film and television crews while continuing to write.
